Competent preparedness will ensure rapid and efficient response which will also be extended to rehabilitation and recovery phases. It will in turn mitigate both short- and long-term effects of chemical disaster activities. It requires an institutionalized framework to be developed at all levels by NDMA SDMAs and DDMAs.
