Number of metrics related to software complexity, quality, reusability, reliability, maintainability has been developed in the past and are still being proposed. Software metrics are tools to control the complexity of software. This paper briefly discusses cognitive and non- cognitive complexity metrics in Object Oriented (OO) design with respect to the complexity of a class, code, inheritance, interface and polymorphism.
